Education
Our focus on Education includes programs that teach specific skills, as well as those geared toward the imparting of good judgment, critical analysis, and social and life skills. Our support includes programs for elementary, middle, high school, and college students that generally take place during the traditional school day.
For 2007-2008, the Orfalea Foundations’ Education priorities are:
- To encourage youth to stay in school, graduate from high school, and continue with further college and vocational education.
- To support established scholarship programs to provide opportunities to students for further education and training.
- To provide enhancements, enrichment and extras by supplementing shortfalls in funding.

Teacher's Fund
The Teacher's Fund benefits local public and private elementary and junior high school teachers with classroom supplies in Carpinteria, Summerland, Santa Barbara, Goleta, & Santa Ynez.
GrantSmart
GrantSmart benefits K-12 school teachers with classroom supplies in the Ventura Unified School District. Grants are for educational enrichment rather than funding of core programs.
